• Graduated from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam with  distinction.

• 1966 M.Com. with 1st rank and Gold Medal. Record setting marks in M.Com. which remained unbroken till date.

• 1970 qualified as Chartered Accountant, clearing the Inter and Final exams in the shortest possible time.
• 1970 joined the practice with the senior naming the firm Rao & Kumar.
• Holds 45 years of rich experience in profession, admired by one and all in the profession.
• Heads the firm Rao & Kumar which now consists of 15 partners, more than 10 employees and 42 trainees.
• Was Founder Secretary of Visakhapatnam Chapter of ICAI and also third Chairman of the Branch. His firm has contributed to the Visakhapatnam chapter of ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), an Air Conditioned Auditorium, which was named after the firm and the stage was named after him.
• A teacher by nature that inspired students to successfully complete C.A. course.
• Under his able guidance, the firm has brought out more than 170 Chartered Accountants in the past 45years.
• Chaired many professional seminars in South India.
• Conferred Professor emeritus by Andhra University.

• Madras Telugu Academy honored him in 1999.
• UN Peace Foundation in Pune honored him in 2008.
• Has been appointed as Honorary Professor in Department of Commerce & Management Studies, Andhra University in the year 2013.

Householder

• He is a householder that fulfilled the responsibilities of family concurrently with social, cultural and spiritual activities ever since his 21st year. He has children and grandchildren in the family and also soul born children and grandchildren, in the professional, social and spiritual fields.
